Cyber hygiene
PAS 1192-5:2015 Specification for security-minded building information modelling, digital built environments and smart asset management, defines 'cyber hygiene' as: 'conditions and practices that serve to promote or preserve cyber safety and security by individual system users'
It suggests that good cyber safety and security practices, '...are not dissimilar to good health practices related to infection and disease control, i.e. taking appropriate steps to prevent infection (e.g. malware), seeking advice in the case of a suspected infection, and when infection occurs, isolating it or taking steps to prevent further spread.'
